Present in the leather processing business since 1997, Ratinho Couros formally started its activities in mid-2002.
Currently located in the Industrial District of Nova Era – MG, it started its activities with few machinery and modest installations. It had its gradual growth and has been undergoing an intense process of modernization for years.
Reference in quality and commitment, the company has clients throughout the national territory. The leather produced in the company is destined for industries of different segments that, later, direct the product to the foreign market.

PRODUCTION PROCESS
The company does 100% of the process with quality assurance, ensuring better products to its customers. Know the 4 fundamental steps:
Acquisition of raw material from reliable slaughterhouses and removal of the leather with its own fleet, prepared to meet the needs of suppliers.
Leather classification, offering differentiated quality in all categories of goods qualification.
Leather salting exclusively with Rio Grande do Norte salt, an input that guarantees the product superior quality to the others.
Storage of the salted product, spraying every month with chlorine in order to avoid bacteria and allow storage for a long time, if necessary.
PRODUCTS
The selection of leathers is made with strict quality criteria, being classified into 3 categories:
A
Heavy leathers, with approximately 40 to 42 kg. Suitable for automotive upholstery.
Medium leathers, with approximately 30 to 33 kg. Typically used for clothing, footwear and popular category automotive upholstery.
B
C
Refuse leathers, generally intended for the manufacture of safety materials or the production of gelatine.

The company's environmental policy is based on the reduction of socio-environmental impacts resulting from industrial activity.
